gleefully employed.

It was a meaningful day with quality-time… or rather..shopping-time (-_-ll) spent with my okasan… she found  job today and going to start work tomorrow.. wow.. feel really glad for her coz she’s so employ-able at this age…really good.. so I always think it’s good to possess a skill which you’re superb at. Something which you can always fall back upon.. okay.. not related to okasan’s case coz she has always been doing it for a living.. not as a back-up. She was all excited and held my hands up in victory with hers and shouted, “我們出去慶祝一下。。。慶祝我們重出江湖﹗” errr.. you should have seen my face at my void deck, luckily no one was around except for an old ah pek sitting at the bench with a blank look on his face… just like mine.

Yup… I decided to go back to where the grass is always green and nice.. my fave temp employer to work part time before starting the contract in July. I finally 相通了not to 跟錢過不去. With my current commitments in the area of ..F.o.o.d, $6.50/hr really taihen not enough. Yah..and I’m talking about food only..a basic need.

Our celebration included a shopping to trip to Ikea and our day ended with a Suki Buffet…which both, I ..watashi paid. Guess who was the happiest ?? Answer: Okasan ne.

Abit of sidetrack from “ a meaningful day”, Sam’s comment made me think about how old school I am actually… indeed, I’m super dupa old school..

backstreet boys were my fave band and I could even dance to their mtv dance routines..like “everybody” and “as long as you love me”. I have video tapes of all their MTVs painstakingly recorded, trying as best to omit all advertisements..perfection is what I adhere to. It’s not easy k… sitting by the tv whole day just to see when they’ll replay the same MTV.

Another old school fave was Eric Suen 孫耀威.. .~ 認識你真好。。只不知道。。” I was head over heels in love with him… which I wonder why now.. haha.. but teenagers are usually the most irrational lot don’t you think?! I was so crazy till my classmates gave me a nickname “eric” . so instead of Shirley… they called me Eric… what d hell. Ahhaha.. but it sounded really 親切..coz nobody else in other classes knew who they were referring to when they were talking about me… and to add on to their curiousity, I was in a girls’ school..fyi.keke.

The chasing ou xiang phase made my okasan dam worried that I’ll just fail all my subjects and end up being a full time star-chaser..

Okasan..told u I’ll grow out of it didn’t I?... I did!

Yup. So much to yak for the day. So tired now coz I had serious insomnia last night after drinking bubble tea. Naz couldn’t believe that a $1.50 bubble tea has enough caffeine to keep me awake..well… believe it then! Nah.. he’s just grumpy that I made him chat with me coz I was awake and bored… not that he did chat with me for very long also lor.
