i was looking for a digi cam and coz my friend had brought an olympus cam to the china trip and i had witnessed how clear and sharp the pictures turned out, I've decided to choose olympus if i really do decide to get a digi cam....or mayb a canon ixus.. coz the design is really cool and sleek..
but olympus is my first choice. haha..think shan should get commission for being the spokesperson for olympus manz..

Cool rite the cam...but i have to decide on it like in 2 days time coz the promo ends on sunday! i can't decide...(as usual)...to buy or not to buy..that is the question. but the cam is really nice rite.....hmmm... somemore i wana get it so that i can take lots of pics of my may day coz i think they'll be in town for a concert very soon!! yeeaaahh!! I really can't wait to see them on stage. .. my ashin!!! guai shou......ma sha.....yan ming (guan you).....shi tou!!.......
okie...2nd splurge would be on their concert tix..this year i've found kakis to go to their concert already...good for me! haha... it's not so fun going to concerts alone...but i'll go anyway even if noone is going with me. i love their music.

yippppeee.... i'm on OIL today....OIL=Off In Lieu. talking about this word, It's real funny how my colleauges use it. when we see a colleague packing up and leaving office during mid day, we ask "eh..where you going? home ah?" Colleague A would say " I got 油! (oil in mandarin..as in literal meaning of oil aka cooking oil) hehe... or sometimes one would ask the other " I feel like Oil-ing today lehz...B got Oil leh..i also want to oil" ...okie..not funny.

yup..my manager sms me last night while i was out for dinner.. she msged:
"did you receive my email about giving you OIL tmw?" (i must have left the office already when she emailed me la.)
i replied " nope. .I got OIL? so what time am I released from work?" ...reason for this is that there're 2 types of OIL- half day oil or full day oil....if it's half day meaning i will have to go to work first then about 1-2pm i'll be released from work....
at this point in time, i was smiling from ear to ear already coz i will have a half day tmw! and just so happen that i've got something on in the afternoon and i originally had cancelled the appointment thinking I cannot make it.

she replied," haha..dun tell me i smsed wrongly. it's FULL day.:)"
........ silence.... shucks. when i read it, my heart sank to the bottom of my broken heart. My mind i was thinking: dam..she has smsed the wrong person about OIL...I'm working full day tmw.
..........i was happy for......nothing!.........
When i started whining and wailing about the mistake, my friend took over my phone and read the sms. He said if my manager meant i'm getting full day oil.firstly, if she had informed me wrongly, she wouldn't have said" haha" she would have said"sorry...i smsed wrongly" .Also, if she had smsed to the wrong person, and still put that smiley face at the end of the sentence, then she's really an evil manager.
........silence.....oh yah!! true huh..! so i smsed her again,

" so it's confirmed I'm getting full day OIL tmw?" ... in anticipation for her reply...
"yes."
"thanks alot"
"welcome :)"
.... i felt so relieved n was exhilerated! yooohooooo...let's have a party....
at the same time, how can my friend miss suan-ing me about my mistake....so 15 mins of sarcasm and digging took place. it's ok for me ..i don't really care..i still got my OIL....(^_^)v

in addition to this good news, i managed to get the hello kitty magnet from 7-11 which i don't have by feeling the package for the shape of the magnet.(you should see how the transverstite cashier's eyes roll when i told him i have this design already and exchange for a new one )..yeah! new addition to my collection!

some good news here..*claps*... When i returned home from the sucky interview, i was super delighted to find a letter to schedule me for an interview!! yeah.... excited me tore open the envelope ,anxious to read the contents...but... guess what.
The letter ended with " Please bring along the following ticked documents when you come for the interview. We look forward to seeing you at the interview"
.........as hard as I tried, rotating the letter at all angles, reading the back of the letter (when it's so obvious that nothing was printed behind), scanning through each and every single word in the pathetically short letter,scrutinizing even the numbers...... , the date and venue of the interview was nowhere to be found.weird right... can't believe the person who prepared this letter was so blur! kaoz.. Giving them the benefit of doubt, maybe they could have decided to inform me the date and venue via email or sms or another letter..*shrugs..waving hands in the air*
weird right and to think this is a rather huge organisation and well known employer.. I've since forwarded an email to the recruitment officer and I'm excited to see what's their reply! hehe..cheap thrill...keke.

well, just woke up not long ago and feeling hungry and all.BUT,think I'll have to starve in preparation for tonight's steamboat buffet dinner @ CoCa. will be meeting up with my gal friends (ahmad, Maria and Babu Singh) and my china tour mates (rickson n cheng guan..no naming yet...will find a nickname soon) for a dinner...* munching bread with peanut butter n jam* i'm really a foodie but it's so sad there's only that much of food that we can stomach..wish that i can keep eating and never grow fat without having to exercise (ok..now don't everyone have the same wish).keke....

sighz..i'm seriously crapping here and wonder if i should carry on writing. or should i go and watch a dvd....hmm... i've ordered so many pirated dvds from our neighbour but haven't since started watching any yet.. mayb i should start watching my julia stiles "a guy thing"! the last time i on it, i watched for about 15 min and that's it.i love my home and the fact that it has too many other forms of distraction disrupts me from watching a dvd proper,through out...oh, and alf's The Notebook which he lent me..so sorry..think i can only return u next year.hehe. I will advice people not to lend me vcds/dvds readily coz they might not be able to get it back within the next half a year...

though the sun may be shinning so brightly outside, trees are swaying side to side, the birds are singing and the flowers are blooming..... but i still feel butterflies in my stomach lehz. I do not know why. Maybe too many unsettled issues at the moment in my life. I remember I only get butterflies when my exams are approaching (nervous) or i'll be taking the plane for a holiday (excited). I have a couple of interviews coming up and I really hate interviews. i always freak out and my heart will super thump so fast that I feel it'll come out of my mouth anytime.hate this feeling. gotta go and must go so that i'll be all optimistic about working again.! ganbatte neee! had a date with my one of my fave actor,Ashton Kutcher, last nite! watched the movie,GUESS WHO at marina square..9.20 show...b4 i proceed to give my humble review of the movie, I must commment on the bad timing of the movie..my very smart fren booked the show at 9.20 when i gotta start work at 8am the following day..and marina square is so bloody far from the mrt,not to mention that Hougang isn't exactly near Cityhall.

well..amidst all the complaints,had a nice and real leisurely dinner (thanks to the poor timing of the movie and this is not meant to b sarcastic ok (-_-ll)..heh) at the esplanade.bought some food from the supermarket n found a nice spot to sit down just beside the river.Didnt really like the cat (or rather 2 cats) who was sitting 30m away looking at us eating our dinner..by the time the movie started,i was half asleep already.the mass playing of the ads b4 the show didnt help to keep me awake.Haha..luckily ashton (macham calling my best fren) came out in time to the rescue.he's so cute! tho i tink long hair looks better on him..

REVIEW TIME!this show is..how shall i word it...hm.bad i tink.boring n typical storyline abt a black gal who's in love with a white guy and the obstacles they tried to overcome..including trying to pacify n convince the gal's father to accept ashton.it's all abt the race n color thingy...typical..then of coz.it has to end happily ever after (if not,i tink i'll hate the show even more)...reminding me of the song:~ i love u ,u love me..we are happy family~

I suddenly remembered what my ang moh sociology lecturer told me about how she was so shocked when she was filling up some immigration form in singapore and saw "RACE" as one of the essential fields to b filled up.She didn't think much since it's for use at the customs at first till when any government or application,survey forms which she filled up also required her to provide the same info..Perhaps we singaporeans are so used to this pratice that i don't think much of it.Back to the topic, this movie is a real disappointment for me n ashton.I could remember how good was his butterfly effect! guess good acting comes with a good script la.

However, it's comforting to know that this show is still better than BE COOL...be cool really sux...despite the huge cast.it's so not funny.The only guy i found remotely funny was....*drum roll*...The Rock..

The festive mood seems to have sizzled off bit by bit as every lunar new year approaches.At least for me.Before we get a tad too pessimistic and start to lament on how we no longer ook forward and enjoy Lunar New Year jus like when we are kids,I've discovered a new way of looking at it so as not to make life more miserable.

This year, instead of spending loads of time gorging(kena forced by aunties to try their new pinapple tart receipes ..)on new year goodies and striking small (aka.meaningless) talks.....:e.g. how's the weather?..what you doing now?ohhh...any career prospects? do you intend to stay on this job for long?? Got Boyfriend not? aiyo...so long never see you...grown prettier huh...(though i don't mind this line...specifically this only)...... with relatives whom I've never met through out the year till Chinese New Year, I did something different.

On the 2nd day, I went visiting to Weizhen's house and had so much fun playing with her 2 newly acquired jack russels.They're so so cute.One of them is 3 months old,called xiao-bai(He has amazingly singular-single eyelids that I've decided to rename him "Jay Chou").The other is 6 months old, named mousedeer( which I have forwarded my complaint to the owner that the name is too long and awkward).Lots of gossiping sessions with Hwee,karie,peipei and weizhen about scandalous news and whatever we can yak about.
Followed by a superb dinner prepared by Lim Wei Chean:

Next on was a KTV session led by Karie and Hwee, me being the facilitator cum participant with peipei as our most loyal-sleepy audience.Oh, Zhen's role was "passer-by "A" occassionally humming along as she walks past the living room (can't blame her coz she was bz and great as the host and also partly she doesn't know many of the weird songs we're singing).
gotta go for a debrief now....yes, I'm typing this in midst of my work!sssshh.more updates coming
