wanted to eat dim sum today but my bro went to book a table for teochew fishhead steamboat @ tian wai tian...the new international building branch. we asked them if they had mian4 xian4 coz it was my dad's bday celebration... then the waitress said it's sold out.. it was like only 11 plus noon, how can it be sold out so fast?! the waitress told us today is their last day of operation. (?!) we were like...ohh..okie.. so alot of dishes they might not have coz they had tried to clear their stock n stop ordering. i remembered i saw the sign " 新店开张" outside still lor...now going to close. they'll b relocated to marina bay where rental is cheaper.. yah.. such fishhead steam boat should not be located in town area.. weird and lots of competition.
anyway, the food is sub standard, compared to the original branch at macpherson..

i suggested going the dessert place just beneath the restarant, xu liu shan for ice mango dessert. this saved the day! saw that everyone enjoyed it even my grandma who kept complaining that she old already..cannot eat cold stuff.. very 'hong1"(in hokkien).. she ate lots of it too! the mango was simply umai... but sad lor..it was so good tt b4 i could whip out my digi cam to take a pic of it, it was half gone already.. the red bean paste smoothie was good too, had small ah ballings w mango,sago and ice..yummy. desserts can't go wrong with sago and mango as ingredients..heh.

cluster dinner was good last night..had a main course and banana split all to myself! yummy...totally stuffed! hehe.. but it's xing4 fu2 to b stuffed with good food isn't it. . heh

saw sharon san online but she kena checked and quickly logged off...abandoning me... as usual. haven't chatted in awhile..

ima ame ga futte iru desu ne.... nemui wa... later going shopping for papa san's tanjobi no purezento... abit poke gai this month coz my bro's and papa's bday both nx week! okie..not abit..but very poke gai... bought a shirt for my bro, nice nice..glad he likes it! dunno why.. i get this sense of achievement and excitement when pple like the presents i buy...hah..cheap thrill.

gotta post something about superstars results last night... kaoz.! i think either the voters either are deaf, tone deaf or just have too much $$ to spare, wasting their $0.60 sms or call to vote for the wrong idols....

for the guys: okie...derrick has always been consistant and his vocals are undeniably the best among the other contestants.. then that purple horse jason actually beat weicong to get into the 2nd semi finals!! how can! did u see his shocked face?! he knew that he sang that energy song so badly that i think energy will be cringing in taiwan when he was performing, and really cry b4 their disbandment.. no tian1 li2... sighz... tink ideal semi finalists should be derrick, weicong, leon and junyang.... aiyo.but that junyang..voice not bad but still i tink he looks like huang zi3 jiao1.... so i won't support him...derrick all the way!!

for the gals: even worse. none of them really good...even kelly... she's the best among the gals but that's coz comparatively to other poor quality gals, she's considered "not bad".. that dunno zihui gal....wonder how many pple did she pay for them to vote for her..!!! she can't sing for nuts!!! sharon san..i tink u can hold a tune better than her!! maybe hagen or ziyang are the masterminds behind her high votes.....

today on solo plat Q... with anna tan... haha..sitting together to ba gua...her weicong is out and trying to comfort her...hope she'll accept reality soon...

watched this sucky movie yesterday called 'the truth about love" starring jen love hewitt..and some ulu actors. the storyline is quite interesting but sadly, it was a brit movie with all the brit ascent and brit humour... which i totally catch no ball sometimes..maybe it was really very funny...about this wife who suspected that his husband having an affair and played a game, to test if her husband by impersonating as "anonymous" dating her husband and "having an affair" with him......quite sad... husband having affair with own wife... storyline worth a watch..but tink watch vcd better.
took cab home after the movie coz too tired...and in time to catch the stupid superstars results.....

gotta drag myself to work today and squeeze in the crowded train..but i think it's not so bad to take NEL already... the seats are spacious and compared to NS line, not as packed... and it still has the new train smell..hehz.not that i like it la..jus a comment.. oh ya..reminds me of that day, i took NS line to ang mo kio. found a seat and sat down. then an ang mo man got on the train in the nx station and sat down deside me..my butt had to auto shift to the right, squeezing the poor gal on my right. that ang mo guy was huge lor! so through out the train ride, his arm was overlapping my left arm and with his newsapapers spread across in front of my face. i look like i was sharing newspapers with him... and i was only at dhoby ghaut station..

okie...digressed too much le..back to what i'm doing today... yup..got nihon go class tonight.. will miss superstars tonight.! my derrick!! heh...but do not fear! i've set my VCR to tape it! yeah! but i really gotta try to find a way to be able to tape the show on 1 channel while others can watch the show on another channel while the taping is ongoing..dunno how to do it..somemore with cable tv so many channels..i really got no idea how to configure lo.

been very hermit-like recently...not sure whether it's the rainy weather which makes me feel like staying home or coz no $$ so no inclination to go out..think both la..haha.. enjoy jus slacking and spending a simple day at home..go jogging, have bread with peanut butter and strawberry jam (this is the best combination..trust me...taste real good!) and coffee or some POST honey bunch of oats cereal +milk...yummy.
...or am i saving up for rainy days ahead in the next few months... i think i am.. rattling too much to myself! ...zhi2 ye4 bing4 ( for the benefit of jia4 gantang sharon san, it means a subconscious habit caused by ur job routine.)

was listening the the soundtrack of the movie "alot like love".. the songs are so so good...especially this song by "JET - loOk what you've dOne" ...so sentimental and the vocalist sang it with so much feeling... hoh hoh teng ah. plus if you have watched the movie, the song will conjure images from the movie...my ashton...~

feel lethargic now..time seems to crawl as slow as a snail.. hope i can stay as as cool as a cucumber.... and the air is as still as the night..... ..err..hmm..can't think of anymore liao.. used to enjoy using all these expressions in primary school in my compositions....sounds like cheema-nology... oh ya...as hungry as a wolf, as angry as the sea...

it's a rainy tuesday.. perfect for slacking in bed. noo..must get out..it's my precious off day..always telling myself I can't waste it..ok.didn't do much but got much of my errands done.. mazu, did my jap homework.(seemed to take forever...) ..watched my serial (last episode! sobzz)..wonder what's the new serial tonight. supposed to meet lau ju li today lor....but she's held up by a few job interviews..(urghhh. hrmph.) ... ok la..forgive her.. valid reason.concerns her career k.. ahem. heh...sarcastic-ness aside...wish her all the best lo..come join me soon!

decided to pack my room and throw away some old clothings...ended up...saw my long stashed in a corner, dust covered guitar..started to pluck n strum a few songs, hoping that miraculously, i might be able to play it like shi tou or masha ,so smooth and at ease. haiz..but no la..i still suck at it... the strongest feeling i got was the pain on my fingers.

the rain had ceased and i went jogging... wind was cool and weather was good.. felt healthier and rejuvenated.. reminds me! i gotta get back my mp3 player from zhe...felt so weird and bored joggin without it.....

shucks..my stupid cable connection died-ed on me again.. i wonder why i'm paying the bill for the cable and cable tv and i'm getting the lousy connection through the router. while my bro is enjoying his online gaming with high connection speed..urgh..

great.i'm stuck here since i connection is dead...can't post.

still stuck.. the only way is to move my comp nearer to the cable modem which is in my bro's room so that the signal is stronger. dun u tink it makes more sense moving the small modem out to maybe the living room makes more sense than me moving the humongous comp nearer to the modem?!.. well..my stupid bro doesn't have common sense and selfish is his middle name lor..

rain rain go away~

turned my head and got a shock that it was pouring when it was so hot n humid earlier on... yesterday met kurt for a jog around our estate at 6 plus...jogged from serangoon to compass point at sengkang... don't be quick to be impressed...realised I never tell u the specific point of serangoon..hehe.. anyways, still a distance la..jogged for 45 min.. waaa..got this part of the route got uphill slopes all the way...almost died-ed... prefer to jog around estates coz it's more interesting rather than staring out the windows of the gym...

had a slow walk back from compass and was talking about setting up businesses and franchising 7-11....wahhaha.. i suggested franchising harry's pie from sydney! if i can crave to eat the pie ever since i came back last year from sydney, it shows how good it is...first and foremost, tink gotta learn how to bake it first...haiz.

family day~

woke up early today to go ave 3 market to eat ah bui2's wanton noodles...umai desu yo...haven't had that in ages lor.. i like that market coz many of my relatives are running stalls there selling drinks and you2 tiao2...etc..my mum used to sell soya bean milk there when she was younger...those days when i have endless supply of soya bean milk.. leftovers from the day's biz tabao back by my mum....love it...

i was at my uncle' you tiao stall...biz was good and brisk today..sunday ma..and monopoly lo..coz that area only she sells you tiao.. the stall was crowded with customers as well as with helpers. got like 5 helpers at the stall and all of them are either his daughters, sons or her son-in-laws.. i saw a familiar face among the crowd and he turned and smiled at me and i waved and called out to him.. it was my cousin..

it was a very wen1 xin1 hua4 mian4 coz this cousin of mine has just completed his jail term..after a long 8 or 9 years i think.. he still looks the same.. i'm not close to him coz he's perpetually in jail (haha..corny but its true).. think it was the friends he mixed with since young which got him in perpetual trouble with the law...now, he's out and helping out with the family biz.. it's nice to see that.. i've seen how my uncle and auntie used to get so depressed over him and gave up on him on many occasions...just let him do what he wants..he's no-longer my son kinda mentality. I now can see how tightly knitted family ties are.. welcoming him back without any qualms, no conditions, no discrimination..words said in the past in the fit of anger all past and forgotten.
... something which i thought about abit today.

but hor.. the you tiao's standard dropped already..last time tasted much better..today' you tiao is super dupa oily and abit over fried... no taste of you tiao at all..alot of you2 only.

just downloaded this song by london based rock band-roOster..called "deep and meangingless". slow rock kind which i absolutely adore...droolz. and a few songs from rob thomas..disappointment though..thought he was much better when he was with matchbox 20.

caught superstars last night and omigod...did you see my weijian??... he sang this song called "很想你"..not sure sung by who.. but it was just too 感动 for words... almost cried when I heard it.. this song isn't those slow mainstream pop ballad...i find the tune abit odd actually but somehow i guess a good singer can really bring out the message of the song. he has to get in this revival round..no matter what... he's got the best vocals in this competition. the rest all CMI. oh..with the exception of Leon.. i like him also but he sang 爱我还是他 which i thought wasnt quite his vocal range and he sounded abit unnatural and gave me the feeling that he's trying to imitate david tao. but..hmm..still...good vocals. 维建 我永远支持你！(^_^)v

feel abit nua to go work today.. mamasan at home also..feel like hanging out with her.. weather abit cold and warm..just nice for a noon nap.. ha.. i gave her a 30% discount coupon from singtel for bday babies in month of july..for hair services at super cuts.. so she went to do soft straightening ..trust me.she looks so much better...きれいね。。permed hair makes her look so old..!

a very nihon jin day

woke up at 10 plus today..after sleeping for 13 hours..felt totally refreshed and awake! (^-^)v never slept so well for a long time due to the rojak shift..

hunger pangs..started searching for food. made some cereal with milk.. then decided it's not very filling..so made a pack of instant campbell mushroom cheese soup.. dipped some bread in the soup and ate some cereal.. but dun feel too satisfied and went to make some cup noodles. urgh. can't i be more decisive?! ended up having 3 kinds of food on the table and ate abit of each... sang abit of karaoke and after amusing myself with my own horrendous singing, settled down to do my jap homework.. had 2 sets of work to do, one for last wk and this wk. the 2 worksheets look amazingly alike lor..so i scrunched up one of them thinking they're the same. after finishing the 1st set, realised there's no work left for this wk...yes..i had thrown away what should have been done.. picked it up from the bin and straightened out the super creased paper. wonder what kitahara san would think when he sees it man.haha.

gonna go jes's house to see her newborn baby!..so exciting... anna was supposed to come with me lor...then! she got recalled for work last min! kaoz.they called her at like 1 hour b4 she's supposed to start... could hear she's really disappointed that her day's plans gotta be all cancelled coz of this..working till 11.30pm...tmw...she's starting at 10am..what gives them the right to do so when in normal circumstances, based on that she's working early the next day, the swap wouldn't be approved....wakarimasen!! baka ne!

managed to drag myself out of bed at 6am today... the power of the thought of macdonald's sausage mcmuffin with egg... real hungry as i only tabemasu durian for dinner last night..hahaz..yummy..my neighbours always buy baskets of durians from malaysia and they'll offer some to us too.. it was really good.

paid 5.80 for a mc's breakfast meal..so ex! never really feel justified to be spending 5.80 at macs.. never liked to eat anyways..just occasional cravings. hehz..guess that's how mac's survives... their customers are made up of many many customers with occasional cravings. sighz..no coupons but craving for mac's..too bad for me lo. heh.. sitting in front of the comp now..full and happy but can't stop yawning.. and it's only 9.06am now. been checking out websites for cheap airfares to sydney.. checked out the cheapest is chan brothers offering 829 bucks...err.which is not very cheap also.. tax alone is 291!! last day to enjoy this 'offer' is like....today. looking at my pending leave application.. no way to expedite at all..see how it goes then!

just got some chocs from a colleague..her last day today..so she's giving out her farewell tidbits.. we get these nice little snacks a few times a month.. wonder when it's my turn to give it out..just waiting for that day..keke

btw, NKF is a disgusting organization. yes, no matter how much they have helped the patients with the funds they raised with those acrobatic charity shows, they still cannot justify the fact that they came up with ridiculous statistics in order to bring in more funds. CEO drawing a 12 month bonus, driving branded cars. not that he can't do that just becoz he's a CEO of a charity organisation but more like he had completely dashed public confidence in NKF. people fork out money to make a donation if they can foresee a need, backed up by the stats that these organisations provide. Misleading shouldn't be the way to go. and building luxurious structures for your organisations is a no-no if you had announced that you only have reserves sufficient for patients' medical bills for only 3-4years. saw an article in TODAY..a guy wrote in to say why CEO can't draw a high bonus if the NKF really wants to retain him and the organisation is doing well..and why should the public make such a big hoo ha forcing him to quit. that is beside the point. singaporeans had placed so much confidence in NKF but turned out,our goodwill has been taken advantage of. not a good feeling at all.

i received a call from this customer who had been making a monthly $500 donation to NKF by a standing order through his credit card. he called up enquiring how he can cancel this order.me being outdated in news as usual.. didn't think too much into this request and merely advised him to approach NKF to cancel this instruction. such kind people around..amazing huh.

a fulfilling off day..after a long time.

was a bright and sunny day today..yup. met naz for a spa session at his club...b4 that, we watched this real funny comedian at his very own talk show..think he downloaded it from the net i think. but hor.. i can't remember his name liao..haha..anyways, he's dam funny and makes racist jokes..ok..dun roll ur eyes..they are genuinely funny!..somehow, though the jokes were racist in nature but he managed to make it real cool and u'll nod in agreement with him.. some of them came from his own experiences as he's a canadian born indian living in canada. he doesnt speak with an indian accent but he could imitate indian accent so so well...u'll burst out laughing coz it's so real. of coz, not to be racist here by giving this example, he told many funny jokes about chinese , africans and americans as well..ha. mada...i still can't remember his name.ok..gotta ask naz again.haha.

yup..next up, went to the club for a short jog and then went to try out the 3 pools..hot pol (38deg!!), cold pool.(freezing cold..dun ask me how many degrees..i dunno..but taihen samui!!)...and then the normal jacuzzi with lots of bubbles.!! it was so therapeutic.. can really fall asleep in there.... haha.. if only i have these pools in my home lo.. i'll fully utilise it!..but then again, when something is there n near within reach, we tend not to use it more....just like last time when i wished i could move house nearer to the swimming pool n i swear i'll swim everyday.. and indeed, i did move to a place near to the pool..but ..hmm.. think i onlu visit the pool like once in few mths?..even lesser than when i stayed further lo.

okie...then dropped by ikea to buy some clips..those plastic fasteners which we can use to fasten opened packeted potato chips, bread, cookies..watever..i love them! heh. had craving for the ikea hotdog also $1.20 only..yummy...plus lots of mustard and chilli sauce.oishii ne.
also found that they sell chocolates there which tasted super good...chocs with peppermint filling inside it....sedap.

day ended with a cup of bubble tea and boring jap class.. usual loads of memorising.."ano..oboemasu... dake eiga o mimasu...hajimemasu...juppun."-thats what kitahara san says to us every lesson...without fail..kanarazu. sadz.

.. woke up earlier than usual today to go planet fitness for workout..gotta change train at dhoby ghaut since I'm coming from NEL to raffles mrt..then walk through china square to get to the gym...it was drizzling all the way and the best part was when i finally reached there, i was told that all the 15 corporate passes had been issued out for daytime and I will have to come back at 5pm -that's when they will issue another 15 passes for evening. i was super annoyed coz i was planning to bathe after my gyming and then go straight to work..

great .i was drenched from the rain..felt super hot and humid..then gotta work till 11.30pm tonight and i can't bathe! kaoz

just as i was getting all grumpy at my bad luck, i suddenly thought of good old safra town club gym which was just at clarke quay..hahz..i had saved their number in my mobile last time when they were still our corp gym..witty me! luckily they had per entry visit at $8.40...yes $8.40... ex! but to me at a time when i'm totally desperate to have my bath, i found it cheap actually..hmm.managed to do my run and steam bath..but forgot the time...rushed like crazy and managed to log in at 2pm sharp.

..checked out planet fitness today, our new corporate free access gym.. quite nice and big..lots of machines to use! just that it's a bit far from the train station.. safra gym is nearer to NEL... exercising really perks me up...feel more refreshed. checked out Mr Teh Tarik closes at 8pm..heh..will go buy ice teh later..yummy. i tink i'm addicted to tea. gotta drink it everyday..(-_-ll)

can foresee not having much of a social life for next 2 weeks... mata ne ahmad, maria and singh (singh always bz anyways..).. my fave ho weijian is OUT! oh no... unfair! high chance he can be in again due to wildcards show!

called zhe at 9 plus am to ask her a song which i heard on radio but dunno name of singer...hummed the tune to her and bingo! she knew who sang it! haha..yeah..i'm going to d/l it... dun play play ok.. xiang3 dang1 nian2 we joined the 88.3FM guess song competition...due to lack of luck then we kena kicked out..haha... bladder couldn't take the stress (for me la :P)... tink only zhe noes what i'm talking about.....sssshhh.

after playing yahoo game bookworm.. realised only 5 min has passed.urgh. heh..now got my fave mayday song jue jiang on radio!
reminds me of a concert i went few years back at the singapore expo. mayday concert...imagine my excitement..me and few friends booked the tix dam early so that we could get the best seats.. fyi if u dunno mayday, they're a taiwanese rock band...yes. rock band..so how could we keep still butt glued on our seats, waving the light sticks left to right in slow sychronised motion..??! ..as expected, shortly after the concert started, fans started to stand up and moved to the front near the railings, leaving their seats behind them.. people who sat behind shifted as well to close the gap n get a closer look...never in your life will you see such orderly movement from fans...no shuffling or pushing...we walked a few steps in front. mayday carried on singing..

when the song ended, mayday vocalist, ashin, became solemn n requested for standing fans to sit down on the floor. ..(??!?!)... it was the security who asked him to do that... many refused to as the floor is dirty and we can't see the stage if we really do..then ashin "begged" us and joked the concert will stop here if we dun listen to him..

so........we sat. how loserous. we paid $100 for the seat n end up sitting on the floor.. didn't enjoy the concert as much as i should be... totally dissed at the way singapore concerts are annoyingly restricted when singapore concert goers are never as rowdy as those in US or taiwan... why the need to enforce when there's no occassion or need for it?? ..this is singapore for you... too safe sometimes.

.... not until i listed out in words that i realised my lunch was so much n sumptuous. dunno why but felt extremely hungry when i woke up today.. the whole night i was just looking forward to waking up for brunch..read from somewhere that just thinking about food can make u put on weight!..not sure how true is that when u dun even take in calories but supposedly, thinking about food excretes some sort of hormones in ur body which can make u fat. anyways, my jeans felt a bit tight when i wore them yesterday...oh no. hmm..what's for dinner later..

bought a pair of berms from samual n kevin ytd... cheap cheap @24.50..usually is $34..! saw it last time when it was $34..lucky could restrain myself not to buy...now i got it at a discount! yeah! been wanting to get a pair..those with cargo pockets at the sides..used to have a girodano one..but i threw it away liao coz torn already...it was amazingly difficult to find ladies berms i realised..somehow, the fashion trend for gals now is not longer the rugged, casual look. going more towards girlish, sequinish, doll look... not very much me.

met up w zhe ytd n ate at hisatomo @ dhoby ghaut...and she told me she spent $1000 shopping during GSS!!! my god!! takusan okane yo! haiz... teachers are rich.hahaha. hope she's not reading my blog now.

sometimes wonder whether i'm suay or just pretend to be cautious.. heard several knocks on the door but i didn't dare to open the door coz i thought it would be those surveyors or salesman...or the yakult woman... n guess wat.it has to be the postman this time when i decided to be smart. so now, gotta make a trip down to the post office to pick up the letter. urghh. will go tomorrow.

this sunday going ECP cycling with my colleagues n meeting zhe for dinner at night... man..think my dad will nag again about me keep going out..somehow he's got this impression that i'm having fun till late at night everyday and i still go out during my off days.. it's the night shift lor. then my mum will be the mediator telling me that actually my dad is concerned about me n misses me coz due to my shift he seldom get to see me, so his nagging is his way of telling me that he cares.. how sweet rite (no sarcasm implied k..i really tink it's sweet!)...but when u're the party involved,u'll find it irritating somehow and will want to argue ..that's normal human reaction.heh.

oh yeah...initial D is real cool! fave is always jay..... soundtrack is a confirm buy for me! heh..
and another recent show which i watched "alot like love" starring ashton kutcher n amanda peet... romantic comedy.. was surprisingly good. hahz..esp when ashton when he played the guitar for amanda singing some bon jovi hit..ermmm.chotto matte..lemme google see what song is that..can't remember! oh oh! it's I'll be there for you. here it goes..
