(p/s: this is an outdated piece of journal which i wrote long time b4 but didnt manage to post..in case u're tinking that i have a bad sense of time..nevertheless..for ur reading pleasure! (^_^)/

The festive mood seems to have sizzled off bit by bit as every lunar new year approaches.At least for me.Before we get a tad too pessimistic and start to lament on how we no longer ook forward and enjoy Lunar New Year jus like when we are kids,I've discovered a new way of looking at it so as not to make life more miserable.

This year, instead of spending loads of time gorging(kena forced by aunties to try their new pinapple tart receipes ..)on new year goodies and striking small (aka.meaningless) talks.....:e.g. how's the weather?..what you doing now?ohhh...any career prospects? do you intend to stay on this job for long?? Got Boyfriend not? aiyo...so long never see you...grown prettier huh...(though i don't mind this line...specifically this only)...... with relatives whom I've never met through out the year till Chinese New Year, I did something different.

On the 2nd day, I went visiting to Weizhen's house and had so much fun playing with her 2 newly acquired jack russels.They're so so cute.One of them is 3 months old,called xiao-bai(He has amazingly singular-single eyelids that I've decided to rename him "Jay Chou").The other is 6 months old, named mousedeer( which I have forwarded my complaint to the owner that the name is too long and awkward).Lots of gossiping sessions with Hwee,karie,peipei and weizhen about scandalous news and whatever we can yak about.
Followed by a superb dinner prepared by Lim Wei Chean:

Next on was a KTV session led by Karie and Hwee, me being the facilitator cum participant with peipei as our most loyal-sleepy audience.Oh, Zhen's role was "passer-by "A" occassionally humming along as she walks past the living room (can't blame her coz she was bz and great as the host and also partly she doesn't know many of the weird songs we're singing).
gotta go for a debrief now....yes, I'm typing this in midst of my work!sssshh.more updates coming
