The career fair was a waste of time lor. The bigger booths were all the government booths and the smaller booths are so sardined packed together that you wouldn’t want to waste your energy to squeeze right to the back of the hall just to see heads, heads and more heads.. .sighz.
took some brochures for tour leading coz I really want to become a tour guide…. But can or cannot is any question… and can or cannot afford to is the next question… the course fees not cheap lor. To learn about the history of Singapore and how to present Singapore in the best way possible…wished I had paid more attention during history class.hah
anyways, the idea is out..quite confirmed after hearing what the woman explained.
Next, felt like taking a baking course to be a baker or chef. Cool rite?!! As you can see, I’m not at all discouraged by my cookie-gone-wrong experience.. we all learn from our mistakes. Think I’ll be fat sampling all my gone wrong food…da me.! Guess my dream to open a small cosy café selling nice drinks and yummy cakes will remain a dream.000oooo0o0oo0
Went to the police booth and enquired on how long the whole application process will take…this guy who looks like he’s not very sure told me… about 1 year….YES. Ichi Nen. Yi4 Nen2… nan de?!!!! I was like “ one year????” he got taken aback by what he himself said also and went to seek reconfirmation. Got another officer and he said..yess…if everything goes on smoothly, there’ll be 4 rounds of interview and if we apply now, appointment will be in august and December they’ll start actual training. Ok. That’s like 9 months…big difference! Sighz. … I really want to be a police lor. I asked him whether they favor guys to gals. They say no. duh. Should have expected the answer. But I think they have lower quota for gals.. confirm lor. Just that I think they’re trained not to reveal that to the public.
-----Another career opportunity gone
we got bored after a while and with our hands full of brochures, left the place.. I really hate suntec, it’s too big and too crowded on Sundays to move around properly. Lots of travel fairs were on also…which I stood outside and drool coz my bank warns me- no participation in it till I get a decent job.
Came home watched a dvd “fever pitch”. It’s quite nice…romantic comedy kind by drew Barrymore..light to watch and I had 2 sandwiches to go with it…with lots and lots of honey mustard (my latest addiction… must add it onto all my crackers, bread, hotdogs.. try it..it’s oishii……) .. tried mixing horlicks with 3in1 coffeemix and the result was a BITTER sucky drink which none of you should ever try unless you’ve got too much too much horlicks to waste. Horlicks is expensive! was just checking it out at NTUC and realised they are pretty ex.. more ex than milo or ovaltine… well, I just wasted some.
Oh.. Nanny Mcphee is good as well…watched on dvd too…quality super good though it’s not out in the movies yet.. pretty entertaining and you’ll feel like murdering those kids in the show.
ooOooOooo0o in eager anticipation for Guess Guess Guess to start 12am0o0OoOo0Ooo
