The Ring...

Another hectic weekend just zoomed passed. It was packed but enjoyable.
~~~Sometimes I wish human beings have limitless energy so that I won’t feel tired… but then again, I really enjoy sleeping. Hmm.. but then again, if we start off not knowing the feeling of tiredness at all, we wouldn’t get to appreciate the goodness of sleep. Since I already experienced the goodness of sleep, think I’ll be happy to carry on.
TGIF.. met up with babu, maria and ahmad at Marche for dinner. My belated birthday celebration actually. Had my share of satisfying calamari and also yucky mushroom n cheese French crepe.. where’s my crabmeat n bean sprouts crepe!!! They took it off the list………!!! Without informing me!!! I’m the consumer lor.. shouldn’t they consult me before taking it off the list…
The all-agreed bloody expensive rootbeer always tasted exceptionally good in Marche.. they better.
A pic of the kawaii ring from swatch which the gals gave me for a gift.. thank u! babu worried I might accidentally kill naz with the ring which looks quite hazardous actually . haha.
nicey nicey....
Saturday crept in with tuition as the 1st ‘programme’… my kids failed almost all subjects…chotto matte… don’t point your fingers at moi first.. so many questions I spotted and tested them and they still got it wrong. The questions gave them 5 lines to write their answer and they can be happy just writing 1 line aka 8 words. I really wakaranai. They knew the full answer when I asked them but maybe some unspeakable force is stopping them from writing more than 8 words. They looked somewhat remorseful but I strongly believe it will not last long.
The 2nd programme was way more exciting..luckily.. hate to see my weekends go down the drain…they’re precious time.
Naz supposed to pick me up at Queenstown MRT then we will go gillman village together. When I reached, he said he needed to use the toilet and passed me the car keys so that I can wait in the car first. He specifically instructed me to press the black button and only open the door after I hear a “tu-tu” sound indicating it’s ok to open the door. How hard can it be rite.. with my MP3 still plugged in, I pressed the black button and I saw the lights blinked and thought should be ok. Pulled open the door and the alarm sounded like noone’s biz. Shit lor.. luckily the alarm stopped after a while and this time, I switched off my mp3 and I repeatedly pressed the black button but no sound also.
Forget it. Naz was surprised to find me standing outside the car and he showed me how to do it. And believe it or not, there was a tu-tu sound. Doshite I tried like 5 times all no sound.?! No fate with the car la.
After this little drama, we proceeded to gillman village. It was place weizhen suggested and I was quite skeptical about it coz I’ve never heard it before. But she said it was a place really quiet n close to nature with nice ambience… we wasn’t disappointed. As we drove into a small ulu lane from the industrial parks, a row of restaurants unexpectedly came into sight. Turquoise Room was the place we were suppose to meet at. Nice place. Saw “long-lost” becca lam which was really nice and exchanged presents since her birthday was near also… food was unexpectedly oishii as well though their appetizers were slightly overpriced. Their pasta was good.
We crossed the road to Bali Villa for a drink after dinner. It was a really cosy place with a bali-décor concept. Dim lights, soothing music and drinks were ok I guess..since I don’t take alcohol… mocktails taste all the same to me. Good place to chill out and gather with a few friends, provided you have a car.
