Weekend had been busy and tiring.
Saturday was a full day of managing a booth at the funfair in school in celebration of 10th anniversary. Frankly speaking, I do appreciate these adhoc stuff that makes teaching a little less mundane. I felt as if I was back in school, making banners, wrapping things, decorating our booths. The only difference was that now I’ve got the power to command the help of any students bumming around in school to do the more manual work. Haha.
Naz and Sharon san came over near the end of the fair (really dunno what’s the point.) haha. Ok la.. more like to wait for me and go home together.
Nope. No luck of winning that BMX bicycle in the lucky draw. Sighz.
Another teacher was commenting on how she admired me for being able to remain so perky and energetic through out the day ( 8am to 5pm!!) without perspiring much, while she kept looking for a chair to rest her feet (err..could it be that she’s got a sprained feet?). The weather was extremely unforgiving and given the super strategic location of our booth, we were busking in the sun for a great part of the day.
I’m okay at standing for long periods of time actually. My legs are pretty hardy and strong as compared to my feeble arms. I also tell myself it’s a form of exercise so it shows that positive thinking is important in anything you do. As for the sun, I like the sun! I like tanning. Treat it as free tanning lor. I was perspiring quite a bit though. Maybe I’m more sensitive when it comes to ensuring my face look normal, as in not overly oily, by wiping it more often. I hate my over-productive oil glands..! haiz.
Anyway!!!! Announcement!::: next week is going to be pretty short week with all the school holidays and National Day. Yeah. Only 2 days of school!
