The Cable Guy vs. The TV Guy vs. Otosan

T.G.I.F.! I love Friday! Party people.~.it’s Friday night ~....fryday…~ this song is from boyband 911… but not sure where they disappeared to already..hehz.. no mood to work today.

The cable guy is finally coming over to check out the problem with the cable tv box. The remote doesn’t seem to work properly ever since we changed our old tv to a plasma. Called starhub many times previously and they gave me useless advice like changing my remote batteries. Duh.wouldn’t I have already done that?? That’s the 1st thing people would DIY when the remote can’t work. And I have 3 officers telling me to change the remote batteries each time I called. I changed the remote also but still doesn’t work. But when I use the remote 5cm away from the box, I could change the channel. So they asked me to check with the guy who sold me the tv saying that my cable signal is working fine. So I checked with the tv guy.

The tv guy said since we’re able to watch the channels, should be cable tv’s prob. Called back cable and they said it’s not them either.

Then I presume it has gotta be my dad’s fault then. Who ask him go n buy the tv leh?

Requested for a technician to come down and they informed me if it’s not their fault, then they’ll charge me $35. I said ok, even if it happens it’s not cable’s fault, but if your technician can solve the problem for me, I’ll dun mind paying also. Coz I’m quite sure it’s just a simple issue of interference thingy or wiring could be incompatible with the new tv. But the officer couldn’t gimme an answer and referred me ……… once again…..to the tv guy.madness!

Thought I’ll just make a last call to them and hopefully I’ll get to speak to a technician who knows more.. and I was lucky. Maybe this guy took pity on me and saw how many calls I’ve made to them already and auto offered free of charge home service to take a look at my box. Cool! Watching tv without a remote is so agonizing.

As I continue my blog, it’s 10.43pm.. no cable guy in sight todate. Called my fave hotline and another officer told me the previous officer David had fixed my appointment yesterday instead of today. What the ***. I remembered clearly when I spoke to david ytd noon, I checked if he could send his guy down yesterday night He said NO.. appointments were full for the day. So he said I’ll fix for you on Friday evening. Kaoz!!! He’s crazy. Really.

Keeping my fingers crossed for tomorrow’s so called appointment. This terebi thingy is getting too frustrating for words.

I wonder what will happen if WE provide customers such bad service *lol*

2 weeks and 2 days .. and I am outta the Bank =) woohoo!
